We live in exciting times — "the times of the nations" in Jesus' words — when the gospel of the crucified Savior has gone out from Jerusalem to all the peoples of this world. As fallen human beings, we often fail to appreciate the gravity of our condition as sinners, and how necessary it was that the holy Son of God should come into this world to die in our place. That good news, God has chosen to spread through the preaching of His holy Word, through a godly public ministry, and by the daily witness and fervent prayers of His people.
Saving Souls in Turkey
The modern Republic of Turkey is home to over 75 million souls, but fewer than 5,000 of them are Christians. That's less than 0.01% of the entire nation, shocking when we consider that many of the first Christian churches were established in this same area. The apostle Paul was born here, in Tarsus. The believers were first called Christians in Antioch, here in Turkey. The seven churches of the Revelation, all in Turkey. And here, after the apostles had left this world, the early history of the Church primarily grew and developed, hundreds and hundreds of churches scattered all over this land long ago. Today, almost nothing remains, and the people of modern Turkey know almost nothing about the only One who can save them. It is our burden — and we invite you to share it with us -- to bring Biblical Faith back to the Bible Lands.
